A lesser known sea god named Glaucus fell in love with her, but was scorned time after time. Finally he restored to asking the enchantress Circe for a love potion. However, Circe herself began to fall in love with him. When Glaucus fails to return her favor and continues to ask for a potion for Scylla's favor, Circe prepares a poisonous vial and pours into the pool Scylla is known to frequent.
