Scylla - October's Mythic Beast

Scylla is a Legendary monster that lives on one side of a narrow channel of water opposite the sea-swallowing Charybdis. Sailors trying to pass through the channel would be faced with the decision of sailing to close to Charybdis, and their ship being swallowed into the sea, or closer to the mountain side where Scylla would attack the ship and eat the sailors. 

Scylla was born a sea nymph. A lesser known sea god named Glaucus fell in love with her, but was scorned time after time. Finally he restored to asking the enchantress Circe for a love potion. However, Circe herself began to fall in love with him. When Glaucus fails to return her favor and continues to ask for a potion for Scylla's favor, Circe prepares a poisonous vial and pours into the pool Scylla is known to frequent. The potion turns Scylla into a vile beast with multiple heads, and a violent bloodlust.

Wet block when finished working. Some color bleeding may happen on first wash. 

The yarn is dyed in the same pot, but that by no means promises they will each take the dye the same. If you are making a large project, please feel free to reach out and I can work with you to ensure the yarn you get is from the same dyelot, or dye them special for you. I want to ensure your product turns out as beautifully as you imagine it!

Studio is not pet-free, cats and dogs are present. I try my best to avoid their contact with product, but alas. They are powerful beings.

Handwash with wash of your choice, lay flat to dry.
