Sirens are one of the most well known beasts of Ancient Greece. Their first appearance in Greek Mythology was Odysseus' encounter in Homer's Odyssey where they were given no description beyond their name. Originally they were imagined with the body of a bird and head of a beautiful woman, throughout the years, they've also been depicted as a woman from the waist up, with the lower half of a fish.

Sirens live along the coasts of small islands. Somewhere they are able to sing their songs and lure unsuspecting sailors to their demise. The Sirens thrive on attention. Their song captivates the unlucky sailors who are left enraptured. They can do nothing but watch the Sirens sing, and thus they starve and wither away while the Siren call to their next victim.

This is a preorder yarn and will be shipped out in May.

Wet block when finished working. Some color bleeding may happen on first wash.

The yarn is dyed in the same pot, but that by no means promises they will each take the dye the same. If you are making a large project, please feel free to reach out and I can work with you to ensure the yarn you get is from the same dyelot, or dye them special for you. I want to ensure your product turns out as beautifully as you imagine it!

Studio is not pet-free, cats and dogs are present. I try my best to avoid their contact with product, but alas. They are powerful beings.

Handwash with wash of your choice, lay flat to dry.

Care Instructions

As this is a wool product it is fairly naturally self-cleansing. Socks should be handwashed after approximately 3 wears. Sweaters are good for up to 10 wears. And Shawls/Scarfs/Wraps are good for months.

Or you can use your own judgement and wash them when they start to smell. Do your thing, boo.

Handwash with your favorite soap, and lay flat to dry.
