Trans Pride! Pride 2024 Special

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I take Pride very seriously. Pride of all forms, and this year I am highlighting the trans community. Pride as we know it would not exist if not for Trans Women of Color. Marsha P. Johnson and Silvia Rivera and noted as two of the pioneers of Queer Liberation. The two of them also founded STAR, Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries in 1970, the year after the Stonewall Riots, with a goal to provide shelter and food to homeless LGBT Youth in New York.

The work these women did for our community is immeasurable, and it is thanks to them and those like them who fought against all odds for the rights we get to enjoy today. 

When working with this yarn, I hope you think of those who came before. Those who fought, those who are still fighting. Those who know themselves, those who are learning themselves. Feel the strength and Pride of this wonderful Community with each stitch.

This yarn will be dyed to order and pairs perfectly with the Pride Mini Set by Queen City Yarn.

Wet block when finished working. Some color bleeding may happen on first wash. 

The yarn is dyed in the same pot, but that by no means promises they will each take the dye the same. If you are making a large project, please feel free to reach out and I can work with you to ensure the yarn you get is from the same dyelot, or dye them special for you. I want to ensure your product turns out as beautifully as you imagine it!

Studio is not pet-free, cats and dogs are present. I try my best to avoid their contact with product, but alas. They are powerful beings.

Handwash with wash of your choice, lay flat to dry.
